That's the most inconsiderate frame of mind I've ever encountered. How could you possibly say that? Even if he did, no one deserves to be shot. No one really deserves to die either. Unless of course you've committed an extreme crime. Even then, it's debatable. So, I don't understand your rationale behind saying what you just said but seeing as this is a section of the forum that promotes honor for the dead, I advise you to strongly consider your harsh words before you post them. You're basically saying he deserved to be murdered.

i didn't see it that way. what i think he meant is, he wasn't just randomly shot. there was a reason, i think. he was probably killed for something like a robbery, a gang thing, an ex-boyfriend or drug reason. i don't think he was implying that steve mcnair "deserved" it in any way. and i won't argue the stupidity of the statement, "he probably got shot for a reason" because of course there was a reason. there's always a reason. even if its accidental or random, the reason would be something like, "the shooter had a mental problem," or "the gun had a faulty safety." every single thing you or i or anyone does has a reason. i'm in this forum for a reason, i'm posting this reply for a reason.
so basically, i think you're reading into his statement way too much and i think he didn't mean anything by it. he's just clueless.

Maybe you're right Doom. Either way, why state the obvious? Either he's stating the obvious, he didn't word it correctly, or he's just being an inconsiderate hick. But, whatever it is, I agree Doom.
